This Deli has a surprisingly great variety of options for a small, independently-owned business. I ordered Carne Asade Fries with a Perrier Sparkling Water. My food was ready in 10ish minutes, which is perfectly fine since they gave a large serving with tons of dressing & sauces. Plus the view of Waterfront Park from here is quite remarkable and it was nice seeing many families & kids walk by & play here creates a warm ambience, so I didn't mind the wait. The cashier seemed to have a couple of her daughters or nieces nearby so she could look after them, which was also heartwarming to see and didn't really distract her from her duties. This Deli is in a very convenient spot & they even have Tums & Aspirin for sale. It's worth stopping by here regardless if you plan to swing by Waterfront Park.

The Family Deli is good, good, good. I picked up a Breakfast Bagel with ham, eggs, and cheese, not to mention the blazing tasty hot sauce I put on it. I choose a sesame bagel and it cost $5. Very good price for the area. The sandwich came handsomely loaded with the eggs and ham. They use American cheese so it melted quite easily. I would like to see them offer different cheeses, but I understand if they don't to keep overhead low and to offer good prices to the public. The eggs were fluffy but I would add a touch of more salt and black pepper, but then again that's just the way I roll with my eggs. The sesame bagel was warmed up, so it was soft and warm. It was a very good breakfast sandwich. The offer a melee of sandwiches, salad, and even burritos. On some days they even make beef birria. Check with them to find out what days because I unfortunately forgot. Sorry..
I was at the Waterfront Park for business and had time to spare for lunch so instead of leaving the area into expensive af Little Italy I stopped at the conveniently located Family Deli to support a local small shop. I've eaten here a few times before as well. They have a veggie burrito which is really simple but man is it good! I also like the bean and cheese they have there. No frills or anything of that nature but its honest food at a reasonable price. Give them a try, support a local business.
